The multilingual Pan-African magazine NO’OCULTURES, focused on artistic criticism, is preparing its 10th issue, set to be released during FESPACO 2025. It is launching a call for contributions to enrich its pages with critiques, profiles, interviews, and various features.
This issue, in addition to its regular sections dedicated to all forms of art, will include a special feature on African cinema, aligned with the main themes of the 29th edition of FESPACO.
We invite critics, cultural journalists, researchers, and art enthusiasts to submit their proposals in two categories:
- General contributions covering any type of art (visual arts, music, theater, dance, literature, etc.).
- Contributions for the special African cinema feature, including film reviews, profiles, interviews, and thematic analyses.
Category 1: General contributions
We are looking for varied proposals that critically or exploratively approach the arts. Some suggestions include:
- Analysis of a work, artist, or contemporary artistic trend.
- Profiles or interviews with influential artists and creators.
- Thematic features on current cultural issues (e.g., new technologies, artistic diversity, etc.).
